While I was teaching in a Waldorf school, I always had a lending library for parents in my classroom. It was my own personal collection of books on a variety of topics, including Waldorf education, child development, parenting, play, crafting and festivals, available for borrowing by parents.
I have introduced a growing number of Waldorf books for children and parents at Bella Luna Toys. I would love to be able to lend you all my personal collection of books, but of course that would be impossible. So I’ve tried to come up with the next best thing.
The Waldorf book collection you will find at Bella Luna Toys features titles carefully chosen by me on the above topics and more. These are books that I have read, worked with, and recommended to parents over the years, as well as more recent publications that I highly endorse.
Need a specific recommendation? Please don’t hesitate to ask! So many of these titles have brought help, healing and support to me on my own parenting journey, and have enriched the lives of my children and my family. I’m eager to share them with you.
If you love bookshops as much as I do, come on in and browse my collection of favorite Waldorf books!
Do you have recommendations of Waldorf-inspired books you’d like to see at Bella Luna Toys? Leave your suggestions in a comment, and I may just add them!
Warmly,

Do you have a suggestion for a ‘first’ Waldorf book for me to read? My daughter is nineteen months old and we are just beginning.
Why yes, I do!
I highly recommend You Are Your Child’s First Teacher by Rahima Baldwin-Dancy. (No relation, though Rahima is now a friend and colleague.) This book was my very first introduction to Waldorf education and changed my life profoundly. You can find it in the Moon Child bookshop.

Do you have a chance to have a look at Sarah’s youtube channel?
I think you can find this video interesting to help you deal with your babe.

Sending you a lot of love!
Hi Sarah! I am at lost! What I need to do to find your online bookshop. When I click it, it takes me to a century link website with several options. Thanks!
Just try clicking the “Bookstore” link on the nav bar at the top of the page. Should work!
Hi Sarah!
I love your blog and youtube channel. I don’t have kids yet but I am deeply interested in Waldorf education.
I would like to purchase your book, but I live outside the US. Do you consider making an ebook format for it? It would be a lot easier to read and purchase being outside the US.
Thank you for the beautiful work you have been doing!
