Wonderful video! I bought the rainbow kite paper from Bella Luna Toys in November and I just got around to making some stars this morning. My first ever. My 3-yr-old attempted one of his own, and had fun telling me to make more and more. We will be making some to send to our good friends in Vermont. I’m excited to try the checkerboard star and check out that book. Once again, thank you for sharing!

Thank you! I have put star paper in my cart many times only to take it out again because it wasn’t a “need” and I wasn’t sure really if it would be something my children (4, 2, 7 months) could do. Now I know my oldest would love it and my 2 year old would probably even get into the act. My favorite thing, though, was the sound the paper made as you folded it. It had that perfect sound that made me want to feel it and hear it for myself. I think I will be getting some for myself for Christmas!

Thank you so much for the tutorial, Sarah! I’m glad I decided to buy some paper at your beautiful store today. Emmaline couldn’t stop talking about the “lovely silken store” on the way home. We’re going to make window stars for gifts tomorrow!

“Lovely silken store.” I love that, Erin!

So nice to see you again and to meet your beautiful daughters. Have fun making Window Stars! Look forward to your photos.

Sarah, These are wonderful! I’m going to have to order some kite paper so my kids can do this craft. I’ll share some pictures once they’re finished.

    Hi Sarah,
Lovely to see you here in your new forum, it looks so fun and helpful for folks to put these thoughts about doing into action. I am inspired to fold an Epiphany star this year in these colors of Epiphany deep red, orange, gold and white like this:

If you wait the main photo will change, or you can click on it to make it change and you will see a ten pointed star, maybe a collage with dyed corn husks that will give you a picture of the colors
